Through our Cendrado Makers Lab, advanced robotics like Misty II and MITI Rover, collaborations with IIT Madras, and international partnerships with global innovators, students engage deeply with AI, robotics, coding, design thinking, and real-world problem-solving. Supported by art integration, Math Labs, Montessori numeracy, and literacy frameworks, our STEAM ecosystem nurtures creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation—empowering learners to explore, experiment, and lead with confidence.
Our school has proudly partnered with Cendrado since 2019 to create a vibrant space where students explore STEM, AI, Robotics, Coding, and Design Thinking through hands-on learning. The Makers Lab gives students the freedom to build, experiment, and bring their ideas to life using interactive STEAM books, exciting learning kits, and smart tech tools such as ZBLOX, custom microcontrollers, and the Brainstorm Robotics Kit.
Aligned with CBSE skill modules and the NEP 2020 vision, the program helps students develop essential real-world skills like problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and logical thinking. Whether they are assembling robots, coding their own programs, or experimenting with new technologies, students learn by doing—making every session fun and meaningful.
A dedicated robotics automation engineer guides and mentors them throughout the process, ensuring that every child feels supported, confident, and inspired to innovate. Through this initiative, the Makers Lab has become a hub of imagination, discovery, and future-ready learning in our school.
Our students are privileged to engage with Misty II, the sophisticated humanoid robot, and MITI, the versatile outdoor rover robot—both cutting-edge technologies typically found in leading universities around the world. These incredible robots were generously presented to our school by our esteemed alumnus, Dr. Prasad Duraisamy, as a token of gratitude and a heartfelt effort to give back to the society that nurtured his early learning.
Misty II allows students to dive deep into the world of robotics and AI. They learn to program human-robot interactions, implement facial and voice recognition, explore autonomous decision-making, and understand the practical applications of artificial intelligence in real-world scenarios. Students can also experiment with Misty II to develop creative solutions, simulate social robotics, and engage in interactive projects that enhance both technical and soft skills.
MITI, the outdoor rover robot, introduces students to mobile robotics, environmental sensing, navigation systems, and automation in real-world outdoor settings. Working with MITI, students can design obstacle courses, simulate problem-solving scenarios, and explore concepts of robotics mobility, sensor integration, and data-driven decision-making. This hands-on experience encourages analytical thinking, innovation, and teamwork, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
Through the integration of these advanced robots into our curriculum, combined with global collaborations and a rich program spanning IT, AI, food production, textile design, mass media, and financial literacy, our students gain an unparalleled opportunity to explore, experiment, and innovate. They not only learn the technologies of today but are also empowered to become confident, future-ready innovators capable of shaping the rapidly evolving world of tomorrow.
We has taken a significant step toward academic excellence by partnering with IIT Madras through its prestigious School Connect Program, run by the Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE). This unique collaboration gives students of Classes X, XI, and XII the chance to explore advanced subjects such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Systems, Game Development, Biology, Aerospace, and Architecture.
Through interactive workshops, hands-on projects, and guidance from IIT Madras faculty, students gain practical, industry-relevant skills while learning about cutting-edge technologies. They also have the opportunity to earn an IIT Madras certification while still in school, giving them a valuable advantage for higher education and future careers. The August 2025 batch is now actively enrolled, following in the footsteps of last year’s students, who successfully completed their courses with flying colors.
